
Sweden's spectacular savory sandwich cake layered with shrimp, smoked salmon, and cream cheese, frosted like a celebration cake.

Trim crusts from bread and slice horizontally into 3 large rectangular layers.
Mix cream cheese with mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped dill for the frosting.
Spread one layer of bread with a shrimp salad filling (shrimp, mayo, lemon, dill).
Add second bread layer and spread with smoked salmon and cream cheese.
Top with final bread layer. Frost the entire outside with the cream cheese mixture, just like a cake.
Decorate the top lavishly with rows of shrimp, smoked salmon roses, cucumber slices, lemon, dill, and hard-boiled egg slices.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve at celebrations and midsummer feasts.
